Weather proofing is a term used to protect your home from bad weather by looking for areas that need to be fixed. Unfortunately we can have the tendency to weatherproof everything in our lives by constantly searching to see what's wrong. The problem with weatherproofing our relationships whether it be our partner, friends, or family, is similar. We begin to look for cracks or leaks in the relationship in order to fix and correct it. This process only alienates our relationships because it encourages us to see what's wrong with everything instead of appreciating our relationships. The practice of "weatherproofing" makes a person critical, so try to avoid weather-proofing and start enjoying better relationships.
