On February 29, 1972, famous baseball player Hank Aron is the first player in history of Major League Baseball to sign a $200,000 contract with the Atlanta Braves. Hank started his Career in the 1952 Negro League. He later broke Babe Ruth's record and defeated Mickey Mantle and the NY Yankees in the 1957 World Series. Hank Aaron retired from baseball in 1976.
