The Dark Corojo is a Nicaraguan puro containing 75% ligero tobacco, so you can't play around with this cigar or it will go out on you and you will have to re-lite it. This cigar was announced during the 2009 IPCPR trade show in New Orleans. The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Dark Corojo’s wrapper is specifically from the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua. This puro features tobacco from the famed Esteli region of Nicaragua. It is a strong cigar, as the foot band indicates (Doble Fuerte = Double Strength). Antaño signifies yesteryear or the olden days. The wrapper has a lot of tooth to it and minimal veins. The draw is nice and smooth with flavors of pepper, leather, dark chocolate, and some slight hints of caramel. If you like a strong cigar this is it!
