The Great Depression







 Thomas R. Marshall who is said to have remarked to an Assistant Secretary of the Senate  “What this country needs is a good five-cent cigar.” At the time, he was speaking about economic woes. Nowadays, cigars go for an average between 6 to 15 dollars a piece.  I think the quote still applies much so today as it did during the great depression especially considering the state of the economy as it is.
